Data matrix labels for glue vials

Initial Situation

A glue manufacturer wanted to place a data matrix per label on his goods.

Patricular Difficulty

The labels shouldn’t be bigger than 12 x 12 mm. The client needed a code generating software as well.

Solution proposed by alpharoll

alpharoll provided a thermal printer with these small labels and an appropriate thermal transfer ribbon. Additionally, alpharoll developed a computer software to generate the data matrix code. Check digits were included in the code confirming the correct reading in of the code. These check digits allow the reconstruction of the code in case of a partial damaging of the label.
